Students who wish to travel by car will need to apply for a permit to park in the student car park on the campus. There are around 200 spaces available on a first-come first-served basis and as the year progresses the demand for spaces on campus far exceeds the spaces available making it necessary to park on residential roads around the College. We only grant permits to students who live more than 1½ miles from College or 1½ miles from a station with trains travelling direct to the College. We also give priority based on disability or medical need. Car sharing is strongly encouraged.
Bicycle and Motorcycle
We have facilities on-site for the parking of bicycles and motorcycles as well as storage where helmets and other clothing may be left. A growing number of students are now cycling to College and we seek to promote and encourage this through initiatives such as the annual Cycle to College Day.
Many students walk to College from the mainline railway station and bus stops in Godalming Town Centre and elsewhere as well as from their home if they live locally. This offers excellent exercise in a safe and social atmosphere as students walk together. We strongly urge more students to walk to and from College.
