When and how should I apply?
All Partner School Applicants: If you currently attend Broadwater, Glebelands, Gosden House, Rodborough or Woolmer Hill School your Head of Year will organise the application process on your behalf. You do not need to return your application form individually to us as you have a guaranteed place at Godalming College subject to meeting our normal entry requirements. Interviews for partner schools start in November 2010. See below for details about offers and enrolment.
All Non Partner School Applicants: If you attend any other school and want to apply for entry in 2011 we will accept your application form on a first come basis from 10am on Saturday 18th September. We shall be open from 10am until 4pm on this date for personal callers and will also be making arrangements for a postal delivery on this date. Please ensure that ALL the required details are completed on the Application Form and that it is SIGNED by the applicant.
If you are unable to use either of these methods of return, require special assistance if visiting us or need help in completing the application form please call our Admissions Team on 01483 423526 or Contact Us »
We try to make applying to Godalming as fair as possible and believe that a non electronic system provides the best way of achieving this.
What happens next?
If we have a place available you will receive an acknowledgement that you application has been received and that you are on our applicant list. If you are not successful at this point you will receive a letter to confirm that your details have been added to our waiting list.
A waiting list will open once we reach our capacity for non partner school applicants. If a place does become available we will contact you straight away to confirm that you wish to continue with your application. In previous years we have been able to take students from the waiting list although this has often been in the summer months when we have a clearer idea of what the drop out from the original applicant list has been.
Interviews
Everyone on our applicant list is invited (by letter) to attend a short interview at the College with a senior member of staff to discuss your course choices. Interviews for non-partner school applicants start in early 2011.
Offers
Offers of places are made in writing after you have attended your interview. Send back your acceptance of this offer and you will receive details towards the end of the summer term of your enrolment date in September.
