Getting involved with: Sport
Godalming College has some of the best competitive and recreational sports facilities in the area. We have two brand new netball/tennis courts and two brand new pitches for rugby and football on land we have recently acquired which signi cantly add to the quality of our outdoor sporting facilities to match that of the indoor facilities.
Team Sports
We have a fantastic reputation for competitive sport and offer a full programme of team sports, including rugby, football, girls’ football, netball and basketball.
Basketball
Coaches from Surrey Scorchers come to Godalming College each week to train the Basketball team and accompany the team to  xtures. The team have a great track record of outstanding play amongst the Surrey sixth form colleges.
Football
There are three football teams which have a full programme of  xtures from September to March in a league against other sixth form colleges in Surrey, in the British Colleges Sports Cup, in friendly matches with schools and in tournaments in the area.
Girl’s Football
The girl’s team are coached each week by one of Fulham Football Club coaches. The ladies compete in the Surrey College’s league, in friendly matches, The Association of Colleges Cup and English School’s Football Association Colleges trophy.
Netball
The two netball teams compete in the Surrey sixth form college league and both teams were league winners in 2015/16. They also play in
the Association of Colleges Cup and other tournaments and friendly matches with local schools.
Rugby
The Godalming Rugby team compete in the South East league and
are the community link club for Guildford Rugby Club’s academy side. Guildford Rugby Club also provide elite development rugby support
for the Godalming team. The RFU support the college on their coach education programme, offering training and volunteering opportunities for sports students. They also offer support for the development of rugby players and the Godalming rugby team.
Fitness and Health
We offer a popular programme of  tness lessons, one-to-one personal training, challenges and activities in our fully equipped gym complete
with  tness instructor and this helps lots healthy.
