Getting involved with: The Arts
Godalming College is working
towards the Artsmark in recognition
for inspiring work in Creative Arts,
Performing Arts, Media and Technology.
As well as the acknowledgement of
outstanding provision in the Arts, the Artsmark also offers access to other resources and networks which enable students to ourish in their chosen arts subject and also offers opportunities for the wider College to participate in the Arts through visits to galleries, productions and organisations.
Drama and Dance
Theatre company ClassAction at Godalming College is
a centre for excellence in Performing Arts and offers a unique training environment that is inspiring, nurturing, and supportive.
Alongside training from our own teaching staff you are
regularly invited to work alongside industry professionals to ensure the training you receive is the best it can be. All ClassAction practitioners take part in productions either performing or backstage, whatever your preference, in our theatre, Studio 816.
The music department is very vibrant and
productive at Godalming College and you
are welcome to be part of this regardless of
whether you are studying on a music course
or not. Peripatetic teachers come to College
offering instrumental and singing lessons each week and there are many performing opportunities throughout the year as part of the Concert Orchestra, Contemporary Choir, Chamber Choir, Jazz Band or one of our many chamber ensembles. We welcome all students with a passion for any kind of music.
