Summary of Application Year
There are two Open Evenings in July and October for students and parents to visit the College. These will give you an opportunity to nd out more about teaching and learning, get a feel for the campus and its facilities, sample the extensive range of enrichment opportunities, and generally soak up the atmosphere. On these occasions the College will be fully open and available for you to explore at your own pace. All teaching staff will be present to discuss the courses that you are interested in. Many current students volunteer to help out on these evenings and you should chat with them to get insider knowledge on what it feels like to be a student at Godalming College. We always say that our students are the best ambassadors for the College and we’re sure you’ll nd their perspectives very helpful.
Once you have applied, you will be invited to attend the College at a designated time to receive information about speci c aspects of student life at Godalming and to have a one-to-one discussion with an experienced curriculum adviser to talk through your choices. Course Advice Sessions take place from November through to April.
Following your GSCE examinations in June 2017 you will have the opportunity to come to College for a day to experience what it will be like. You will have an individual timetable based on the subjects that you have chosen to take and will also experience tutorial support and college activities. The day is aimed to give you con dence in your choice of College and courses.
In the week after the Going to Godalming Days for students we invite parents to attend Going to Godalming Evenings at which senior managers will say more about how the college works.
In particular these evenings will focus on pastoral and student support, discipline, reporting on progress and applications to university
Details of your enrolment date and time will be sent out before the end of the summer term. Enrolment will take place after the publication of your GCSE/level 2 results and before the term starts. Term dates are published on the College website.
