“Godalming College is nothing short of an overwhelmingly motivating and exciting centre for learning development, and the acquisition and enhancement of a broad range of skills - both in life and academia. The progressive and understanding attitude of the College’s teaching staff provides a sturdy platform for all students to willingly perform at the best of their ability; regularly achieving at a formidable standard and making full use of the top quality facilities available. Further, the variety in clubs and activities that are offered play host not only to the highly academic students, but also endorses those who favour a more creative or flexible educational curriculum.
The Student Union at Godalming College entertains members from all across the political spectrum, as well as those who are simply not political at all but have the desire to be a part of making a difference to College life, and effectively represent their fellow peers. This year the Student Union introduced a new Student Parliament, which consists of members elected from tutor groups, to work cohesively with the Student President and other officers to help make clear the views of students and implement policy which is in the interests of the student body. This opens up an opportunity for a broader range of individuals to involve themselves within the College framework and, in turn, play a part in the direction of the Student Union as a whole. We hold no prejudice, and actively encourage every student to participate in areas such as event co-ordination and project management, as well as raising their voices to be heard; the Student Union offers this medium.”
