Supporting Disabilities
Godalming College positively welcomes students with disabilities and has a strong track record in working with parents and carers to enable all young people to have access to the teaching and learning on offer.
Our Student Guidance team includes personal tutors, learning support, and careers advisors, all of whom have the expertise to develop a learning programme that best meets individual needs and aspirations. Students with muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy have achieved significant success and many have gone on to study at university having gained not just qualifications, but also a greater level of independence and confidence.
At Godalming College equality is about making sure everyone is treated fairly and given the chance to achieve their potential. It is not about treating everyone the same but about recognizing that all students and staff have different needs that are met in a variety of ways.
