The course offers a Business related qualification at Level 2. It provides the opportunity to develop a range of skills, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life. It is equivalent to 1 GCSE. The course will consist of 2 core and 2 optional units, one of which is externally assessed via an onscreen test.

You will require an average overall GCSE grade of 3, based on the best eight entries with at least two grade 4s.
You will develop a number of useful skills, which can help in gaining employment, including time management, organisation skills, ICT and Communication skills.

The BTEC Level 2 First Award in Business will provide a good introduction to the subject. Combined with other GCSEs and equivalent it provides access to Level 3 qualifications, for example, the BTEC Level 3 National qualifications, which are an entry route to university or employment. The BTEC Level 2 First Award in Business is also a well-respected qualification in its own right and is widely recognised by employers.
