This short course will ask students to consider how they can define 'human rights' and how this has changed over time. Focusing especially on the evolution of the concept of human rights in the twentieth century, including the impact of the Second World War and atrocities such as the Holocaust on the establishment of the United Nations and the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
This course will provide students with the knowledge and experience to support them as they develop their future plans beyond Godalming College.
