Chloe Davidson (Law A Level)

Case Study

The strong sense of community and wide choice of courses at Godalming is what really sets it apart from other colleges. This supportive and positive learning environment is reflected in our lessons and the level of dedication and commitment from the teachers is unparalleled.  The Law department in particular encourage students to develop a capacity for independent learning which has made a huge difference to my learning experience and helped me manage my time more effectively. The interdisciplinary nature of Law and its broad application is what first attracted me to the subject and is what makes it so interesting! The critical thinking skills I have gained from Law have helped me in my other subjects, for example in exploring the legal and ethical dilemmas of genome engineering in biology. With the support and encouragement of the amazing teachers in the Law department, I have developed strong analytical skills and a sense of resilience which I hope to carry with me next year studying Law at the University of Cambridge.
