Clara C (Photography A Level)

Studying photography at Godalming was a really enjoyable experience due to the facilities and help available to students. The first year was a lot of guided work whilst learning camera and photoshop skills. The second year was much more independent where student creativity wasn’t given many bounds; developing projects and outcomes meant students were able to create their own photo gallery displays, books or an exhibition.

Studying photography at college has helped me improve my photographic eye by studying artists and techniques, which has inspired me to apply more professional research to my photo process. Experimenting with digital and film photography was also heavily encouraged by my teachers, and I completed exercises in the course, such as developing my own film, which I would not have been able to do outside of college. In the future I want to take my skills forward into travel and wildlife photography.

My camera is something I will bring with me around the world to create my own personal photo series of places that I travel to. Photography courses are easy to find, and I intend on partaking in wildlife photography courses when I finish my time at college.
