At Godalming College, I study A-Levels in Art, Textiles, and Music Technology. I’ve always been a creative person, and I love the freedom and possibility that comes with making something completely new. These were subjects I chose at GCSE, so I was confident in continuing them at A-Level.
While the skills I gained at school were helpful in preparing me for college, they’re definitely not essential to doing well at Godalming. The Art and Textiles departments here are incredibly strong and have helped me grow my skills massively over the last two years. When I started in September, I was overwhelmed by the level of talent around me, but it only motivated me to fully dedicate myself to both Art and Textiles.
Thanks to the constant support and guidance from the teachers and technicians, along with access to an exceptional range of resources, I can now clearly see myself pursuing a career in art. I have received an unconditional offer from my top-choice art foundation course at Kingston, which I’ll be starting this September.
