Fratten S (Media A Level)
I chose A-level Media because it offers both a fun and insightful approach to the production, distribution, and exhibition of different media industries, as well as allowing creativity through the component 3 section, where you have the opportunity to create your own media product. The course has massively helped me in both my analytical and evaluative skills that have carried over into other subjects. Overall, the Media teachers are extremely supportive and will guide you throughout the A-level, offering workshops on exam technique and content, as well as offering personalised essay support.
My favourite part of college life is the freedom and responsibility that is given to you. At college I was freer to learn how I wanted to and this helped me develop effective revision techniques that suited me. The College has always been supportive of me and has helped me through every hurdle, whether it was searching for a Career or needing help with my content.
At my time in college, I ran a student-led Mentoring Club, as part of the Student Union. Through this, I learnt crucial skills such as communication as well as meeting some amazing people that helped me throughout college. Overall, I greatly encourage students to open their own club on topic they are passionate about.
