Sarah O'Fee (Geography A Level)

I have found studying geography very interesting and insightful into issues, both economic, social, and environmental found across the world, and the best possible solutions to resolve them.

It fits in with my other subjects, chemistry and biology very well, especially biology as many topics link together, such as succession in ecosystems like sand dunes. In both subjects we look at different ecosystems and how organisms are adapted to them in order to survive, such as polar bears in cold tundra environments and trees in highly competitive rainforest canopies.

After l finish my course, l hope to move onto doing a human geography degree at university and in the future l would love to work for an NGO associated with hazards, such as the Red Cross, to work on strategies to increase response to hazard events and therefore reduce their disastrous impacts.
